Missionaries of the Poor is an organization which caters for the need of the poor, regardless of the beneficiaries’ race, religion, caste, ethnicity, or gender. The orphanage they run on the outskirts of Kampala, in Mutundwe, is called Good Shepherd Home, and it is in this home where the children TAG is supporting academically live.

The Ugandan Mission was established on the 29th of September 2000, when three Missionaries of the Poor were sent from our Mother House in Jamaica to begin our first venture in Africa. The foundations of both the Brothers’ monastery and the apostolate were laid in such earnest that astonishingly, by January 2002, both structures were up and ready to be blessed and occupied respectively by the Brothers and the poor... <<< MORE >>>
