TAG
Concept
TAG is a network of people and institutions. Everyone who contributes time, energy, funds, talents, etc, becomes a member. We’re aiming to make TAG a popular network which people want to join because TAG has become synonymous with transparency, effectiveness, exciting events, and a network of like-minded people. We would like to see TAG bumper stickers on the back of members’ cars. We would like to see companies displaying the TAG logo on their advertising, proudly claiming an association all of us members. We would like TAG to become contagious and cool reaching across all sections of society.
TAG, acronym for The Africa Group, is also a children’s game played around the world, albeit called by various names in different places. At the beginning of the game, one player is designated "it." After "it" is chosen, the other players scatter. "It" must chase them down and tag them, usually by tapping them somewhere on the body. A tagged player becomes "it," and the former "it" joins the others. We hope that TAG, ‘You’re It,’ becomes a contagious game and that more people/corporate companies/donors get involved, tag others, and contribute to the betterment to the lives of people in Africa – to the point where the very same recipients are able to become donors, and taggers, themselves one day.
